On Friday, May 15, 2026, and Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., we invite you to the Hladilnica Gallery at Pekarna, Maribor, for guided tours of the exhibition Prejudices / Predsodki, which is part of the TRYST / Rendezvous Extended #3 project.
The exhibition explores prejudices as silent, often unconscious mechanisms that influence our perception of others, shape feelings of belonging and otherness, and establish boundaries between the personal, social, and political. The artworks do not definitively resolve these tensions, but rather reveal them, reflect on them, and invite the viewer to actively confront their own perspective.
During guided tours, we will take visitors through the exhibition, introduce the participating artists, and shed light on the broader context of cross-border collaboration between the Slovenian and Austrian art scenes. The exhibition is organized in collaboration with Galerija Hladilnica, Schaumbad - Freies Atelierhaus Graz, and project partners, and brings together diverse artistic practices in a dialogue between Maribor and Graz.
Participating artists: Tolga Balci, Jakob Bock, Brisilda Bufi, Borut Krajnc, David Kranzelbinder, Julia Lusser, Nataša Berk, Borut Popenko, Toni Soprano, and Marko Zorović.
You are invited to view the exhibition, engage in conversation, and reflect together on the prejudices we hold, recognize, or are just beginning to see.
